Housekeeping

Jun 22nd, 2003 | By Joe Taylor Jr. | Category: Announcements

Welcome to a leaner, crisper Indie Music Club. After talking with a number of our readers over the past few weeks, I learned a few things. The layout of the site was a little to busy for most folks — way too much going on. Also, we had lots of bells and whistles that nobody was using.

So, all weekend long, I’ve been stripping the site down to its core — the news and links you love to see every day.

The only change that will effect a few of you is that we’ve replaced the links area with the “blogroll” you see creeping down the right hand side of the page. If you use the free tool to link back to us, your site will go into a random rotation with other sites linking here. As a result, you’ll get much more exposure than you did from the old system, where nobody was really inclined to go digging.

The new layout takes advantage of some new tools and technology, which will really benefit anyone who’s trying to view the material using an RSS reader or a text-to-speech system. Please keep letting us know how we can serve you better!
