Quick Turnaround / Passive Revenue

Are you approaching your live shows as a source of “passive” revenue? We had a great discussion in our Summer Strategy Seminar about how bands are using new technology to offer their own “official” live recordings for sale to fans. It’s a low-cost way to get your hard-core fans’ needs met, and a way to generate a little more cash from each show. (Besides, you should be taping yourself anyway to be able to critique your performance.) Heath Row from Fast Company has an example of how bands can even form some business partnerships to make the whole thing easier.
