Welcome to spinme.com, where we help working musicians make more money making music. If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to our RSS feed or our weekly newsletter. Thanks for visiting!
Thanks to everyone from our newsletter subscriber list who gave us feedback about the projects we should be working on in the second half of the year. Loud and clear, we heard that you want more opportunities to connect with interesting folks on our conference calls.
Therefore, I’m launching a new series — it will probably be monthly, but maybe more often depending on my schedule and our guests. For lack of a better title, we’ll call it “spinme.com on the record.”
Our first guest is what any talk show booker would call a “great get.”
He’s controversial, and he’s someone that many of you would love to get on the phone…
His name is Carlo Oddo, and he’s the owner of a company called Talent2K. He and I have very different ideas about what it takes for an emerging musician to make it in the music industry. VERY different. But, more importantly, he has a lot that he wants to put on the record about accusations made against himself and his company.
A few days ago, I invited Carlo to respond to the comments that you’ve been posting to the site about his company and his business practices. I’m delighted to say that he’s accepted our invitation.
At 4pm Eastern, on Thursday, July 8th, we’ll open up our 100-seat conference call bridge. I’ll spend about 25 minutes interviewing Carlo about Talent2K’s mission, his track record, his brush with some overzealous subcontractors, and what he’s going to do about the not so great attention he’s received. Then, it’s your turn. We’ll open the phones and give you a chance to ask Carlo your own questions.
Click here to register for our live conference call with Carlo Oddo now, before all 99 seats are snapped up. (It’s free!)
If you’re not able to make it on the live call, don’t worry. We’ll post an UNEDITED audio feed right on the front page of spinme.com within about 30 minutes of the call’s conclusion.
Join us. Listen. Ask solid questions and be ready to participate in a really compelling hour.
If you enjoyed this post, make sure you subscribe to my RSS feed!

This should be an interesting call. I’ll definitely be there to ask in public the same questions I’ve asked in private conversations. This on-the-record format is just what the community needs to put this dog to sleep once and for all. KUDOS JOE!

TOTEMSOUL dealt with talent 2k about two years ago. We payed them about $1500 to shop us to record companies, management, booking agents, ect.. The contract stated if they didn’t get us a deal with in 120 days we would get our money back. It’s been 2 years, we didn’t get any kind of deal and we didn’t get our money back. I was cleaning out the drawer in my office and found some of the old papers they had sent. They would send us these little reports every 3 months or so stating how many wanted to pass, and how many were interested. That’s it. They never gave us any info on who was interested. Even when I asked for it over the phone. Why was it such a secret. I noticed along time ago that when you pay someone for a service in the music buisness they act like you work for them. Well anyways when I found a old letter, I decided to call them. Since everytime I called them before they would ignore me. So 2 years was enough time for them to forget. They said that our account was deactivated due to the fact that they had sent us info on a record label interested in us and we didn’t respond. Yeah Right. We got all the reports on how many was interested, but never who. We would like our money back or our account re-activated. If this company is so “REAL” they would have handled this a bit differently. That’s TOTEMSOUL’s story on Talent 2K.

It is a ripoff , and he is a thief period .. No one should listen to anything he has to say …

Carlo K Oddo. Is a disgrace to the musik Proffession Sent him 995.00 in June of last year for the Website, Presskit, and the 100 label and 100 radio submissions. About one month later I did a search on google to find the number so I could call and ask where I needed to send in my pictures for the presskit and website and, that when I saw it testomonies of at least 50 people who had been ripped by this guy. My heart sank cuz I knew I had just been ROBBED. I tried to call and from that day on I have never been able to get in touch with no one from talent 2k. I have moved on and just want anyone who talks to Carlo K. Oddo to let him know that, He wil get his in time, It’s Karma Baby. If you have any info on how to get at this guy hit me up at joehayes33@hotmail.com Because most people probaly are just stuck out of there money.
