Group funding

Lots of folks have been asking me about how to raise capital for recording projects. Fundable is a new website that lets your fans contribute toward a financial goal. If you break down your budget into manageable chunks (say, 100 people @ $50 each), you can make it happen. The cool thing about fundable is that it works like an escrow account. If you hit your goal, you get the money. If you don’t reach your goal, your fans get their money back.

Someone’s already using it to fund an album release and to front the cost of materials to build some seriously cool tube amps.
