Playing for good isn’t all bad

Think playing for “a good cause� means no one signs at the dotted line? Think again. Going the benefit route could be one of the best techniques you got. Check out this piece from the October 2005 Music Edition of the Festival Network Online Newsletter. Especially if you haven’t necessarily made a name for yourself yet, you could use an event like this to get your name out there – and doing so alongside a charitable cause wouldn’t be such a bad rep to have for people who are seeing you for the first time. (Even if it isn’t your first time onstage, it still wouldn’t be a bad rep to have.)
