Getting jazzy with it

Feb 7th, 2006 | By Melissa Robbins | Category: Announcements and News

A New York-based organization, the National Endowment for the Arts and Jazz at Lincoln Center, recently announced that their “ ambitious new educational resource, NEA Jazz in the Schools, is now entering classrooms nationwide.”

This free curriculum “is produced by Jazz at Lincoln Center, a not-for-profit arts organization dedicated to enriching the artistic substance and perpetuating the democratic spirit of America’s music.”

This tool could be a great resource for teachers, communities, and students alike not only to bring the arts into schools but also to realize that there is a productive need for arts programs to stay in schools!
