A Housekeeping Note about TryTunes

With the song critique section of our bulletin boards growing, I pulled TryTunes out of mothballs to provide an easy way for songwriters to get their songs online without opening a MySpace or a YouTube account. We have received plenty of submissions, and we welcome more. However, please keep in mind that this is what I consider a “pre-alpha” release, meaning that I’m trying to post new material as fast as I can, but that it may take a while and that our office is not providing technical support for submissions.
Checking in this morning, our voicemail is quite full, and there’s really no way I can personally respond to all the phone calls and still get work done for our clients. So please understand that nobody’s offended me and that I’m not trying to be rude — we simply received a far larger volume of submissions than expected, and we do have to pay attention to our coaching and bookstore clients before we can attend to anything else.
To get your song onto the site, please follow the instructions in the previous post — specifically, songs must be in MP3 format and must be sent to our “tips” address. As we build out that part of the site, I hope to automate the submission process so we can turn around postings much more quickly. In the meantime, thanks for your patience, and for your song submissions.
