Back to School

I caught this compelling article from a Montana newspaper that chronicles the adventures of indie musician David Walburn. Not only has he distilled some of his more exciting life experiences into song, he has actually supported himself by converting his songs into multimedia performances that he delivers to schools throughout his region. And the money’s good, too — enough to keep him in the business of writing and performing original material. Nice work, if you can get it. What kind of day job dovetails with your work? And what are you going to do to make 2004 the year that music becomes your day job?
