I’m almost ready to post the recording of our first Street Team 101 call to the members area, but I want to reiterate something I mentioned on the call:
A lot of folks are using the term “street team” to mean lots of different things. I use the term to describe a group of volunteers that want to leverage their talents and their networks to help you succeed because they genuinely want to help you succeed.
The raw enthusiasm of a real life raving fan can’t be beat. That’s because potential audience members can see right through fakes and impostors. There’s nothing wrong with a fan telling their friends about you because they love your music. And, as Jackie and Ben point out, there’s a lot wrong with trying to be slick or slippery.
