A genre of hatecore music? (Unfortunately, not a typo.)

Technically, it could fall under the category of “freedom of expression,� but music whose sole purpose is to attract their fans to hate groups? “Uprise 2006,� a concert bringing people together to support the superiority of the white race, was held on January 28, and welcomed about 150 fans. According to one article in Delaware Online’s The News Journal, “such music and its message is propelling a new wave of racist recruiting in the Delaware Valley, across the country and throughout much of Europe…and the Internet is the engine driving the movement.� Check out the article and this piece on Resistance Records, and then post comments here! Resistance has been around for years. They used to send be demos in the mid-90s when I was reviewing material in my newsletter.
In the last 5-6 years, they’ve gotten a lot better at marketing. But as I always say, it’s easy to sell hate.
While the “softer” acts like Prussian Blue are disturbing, music is used to recruit people and spread beliefs all the time. I don’t see it as any different than Toby Keith or Carman.
I’m glad it exists and I’m glad it’s in the open like this because I think it’s a great way to bring up the issues behind it and deal with them. We can’t just pretend these things don’t exist.
