It *will* take a long time for a critical mass of folks to buy music on MySpace. However, an early wave of folks will go nuts when they earn their first $100 from the service, kinda like Google AdSense. And that will really change the game for some folks.

what about myspace as a record label? i have a friend who’s band is in the middle of signing a record deal with myspace. anything myspace does right now gets my attention. when “tom” can send a message to 100 million users at one time telling them to check out a band, things will happen.
