In our little town of Athens, this has been big news. The folks that started Kindercore Records let themselves get bought out a little while back, and things apparently went downhill from there. The out-of-town money guys released a statement that the label was broke and would close, then retracted it and announced that the creative staff (and founders) were sacked and new management would take over.
Amidst the chaos, a legal defense fund has launched to bring the Kindercore label back to Athens and protect the catalogs of local artists.
